This Korean-inspired spicy appetizer will have everyone's mouths watering.
What you will need:
1 Package of Firm or Extra-Firm Tofu
Oil Spray of Your Choice
A Grill Pan
2 Tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
1-2 Tbsp Red Pepper Powder
1 Scallion (Chopped)
1/4 Yellow Onion (Finely Chopped)
2 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
1.Drain tofu and wrap it in a paper towel or clean dish towel. Place heavy pans or serving dishes over the tofu to help press out the water. Leave for about 20 minutes. Cut tofu into desired shape.
2. Set the stove to medium and spray the grill plan with your oil of choice (a normal skillet pan works as well if you're willing to give up the grill marks).
3. Cook the tofu on both sides for 3-5 minutes making sure to get golden brown grill lines
4. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze. Mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper powder, scallion, onion, and garlic.
5. Plate the tofu and top with a dollop of the hot pepper glaze.
